History
This townland had no direct access to any road. The long laneway in led up across Killyfole from near the mill house. Looking at the 1835 O.S. map, this was about a mile in to a group of 5 houses fairly close and another at some distance and then one really isolated in the middle of what must be the mountain area in the Griffiths Valuation 1862. This area is now mostly forestry land
